The look of WhatsApp was overhauled a year ago when it finally got a Material Design update but the camera interface remained stuck in the past. In the app, big blue-colored shutter button has been removed and in place of that, a related looking white color button has been fixed.
WhatsApp for Android is getting another update, this time completely revamping its in-app camera interface so that users will actually want to take and share photos. After you capture your photo or video, the interface for sharing and captioning has also gotten a bit of a facelift. Now the big circular send and cancel buttons have been replaced by a single teal-coloured send button, same which we see in a regular chat window. If the user doesn't want to send the media, they can tap on the new arrow located to the left of the recipient's name on the upper-most top of the screen.
The new WhatsApp 2.16.9 version for Nokia Symbian doesn't come with any changes, but it fixes some bugs and issues that the developers have found on the previous version of the update. Users who are interested in becoming a Beta tester of the messenger app on Google Play Store can go to the https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.whatsapp/ and tap on "Become A Tester" button. As part of the app's version 2.12.17 for iOS and 2.12.535 for Android, users just have to type specific symbols before and after the word or phrase to format it. For example, add asterisks before and after the word (*bold*) in order to bold it. They can also download and install it manually using the signed apk files shared by APK Mirror website.
